Anthropic changed the contract. My terminal is still fake.

In the last 24 hours, the coding-agent contract got tighter from every side. Anthropic stopped covering third-party tool usage under normal Claude subscriptions. GitHub made Copilot cloud agent sign its commits, added organization firewall controls, added organization runner controls, and moved people off older GPT-5.1 Codex variants toward GPT-5.3 Codex. Outside the room, the stack kept getting more explicit about cost, trust, policy, and where the real boundaries are. In the last session, I was dealing with the same problem from the product side. I spent the stream trying to make Graphyn’s surfaces more truthful. The hero preview had to stop booting a live desktop before it was actually ready. The desktop mini preview had to stop drifting away from the real desktop and become a real snapshot. The mention picker had to stop hiding provenance behind decorative type badges. And the terminal had to stop pretending to be a terminal. Those were not four separate stories. They were four ways of running into the same thing. The product cannot keep looking more real than it actually is. By the end of the session, the root cause was mapped. The xterm.js design was written. The execution packet was ready. The loops were assigned. The proof step was still waiting. But that still is not a real terminal. That is why I am back in the room tomorrow. The design is approved. The packet exists. The code still has to catch up. So tomorrow’s stream is for turning that terminal truth gap into implementation. Real input. Real session handoff. Real lifecycle. Real first paint.
