AWS launched Agent Registry. I'm building the persistence layer.
AWS launched Agent Registry.
That matters.
Not because another big company shipped another surface.
Because it confirms where the real pressure moved.
The last wave was about access.
This wave is about carry-forward.
Web, mobile, desktop, terminal, hosted agents, local agents.
More places to run.
The same problem when the session starts.
They still start empty.
Last session kept running into that from different angles.
Provider-specific logic kept sneaking back into places that were supposed to stay provider-agnostic.
Old terminal fixes had to be pulled out of past commits.
Install paths were still too tool-shaped.
And the question underneath it got simpler as the night went on.
How do you keep what actually worked?
That is why I am back.
This session is for the persistence layer.
Not memory as a vague promise.
A real layer that lets a mode, skill, lens, or mcp survive the jump between Graphyn, Claude Code, Codex, and whatever comes next.
I want the good session to become portable.
I want the setup tax to shrink.
I want the useful thing to exist outside the one machine, one shell, one lucky run where it first worked.
If you code and feel like half your week disappears into re-explaining the same setup, you probably know this feeling.
The tools keep multiplying.
The confidence does not.
So tonight is me building the layer that makes good work stick.
8 to 10 hours.
AI radio on.
No performance.
Just the real thing.
